How to Calculate Determinant on ES Calculator

Let us find the value of a 3-dimensional determinant.
Step-1: Mode > 6
Step-2: Press 1 or 2 or 3 to choose MatA, MatB or MatC respectively.
Step-3: Choose Dimension. Here, we choose 1 as our's is a 3-dimensional matrix.
Step-4: Enter the values row-wise. Press equal sign (=) after each input is made.
That is we press 3 = 1 = 1 = 1 = .....
Step-5: Press AC button.
Step-6: Press "Shift + 4" to get Matrix menu.
Step-7: Select 7. You will see on screen "det("
Step-8: Again press "Shift+7"
Step-9: Now press 3 if you have chosen 1 in step 2 that is, if you Matrix were MatA and so on.
Step-10: Close the parenthesis and press equal sign (=).
You get the result.
In our example, the result is (-2). Match it now!
